Atmora Fleet treats vehicles, trips, fuel, maintenance and drivers as one costed record rather than five reports. Telematics arrives through a device-agnostic gateway from whatever hardware is already fitted, trips are reconstructed from raw pings so a dropped GPRS window does not delete a journey, and job cards, fuel-card transactions and toll data attach to the trip they belong to. Owned, leased and attached market vehicles run in the same fleet, because most mid-market operators run all three and refuse to maintain two systems for the privilege.

Fleet is not a transport management system. It does not price freight, tender loads to carriers or run a customer booking portal, and it sits alongside a TMS rather than replacing one. Below roughly thirty vehicles a telematics vendor's own portal will usually do the job, and we will tell you that during evaluation. The economics change once you are running mixed ownership, a workshop of your own, and enough lanes that nobody can hold the true cost per kilometre in their head.

What it does

  • Telematics ingest at ten-second resolution

    GPS, ignition, fuel level and CAN bus data arrive through a device-agnostic gateway. Trips are rebuilt from raw pings, so a dropped network window shortens a journey rather than erasing it.

  • Fuel loss detection from tank-level slopes

    Drain and refuel events are inferred from sensor gradients cross-checked against fuel-card transactions and odometer movement, then queued for review rather than triggering an accusation.

  • Maintenance on distance, engine hours or date

    Schedules trigger on whichever threshold arrives first, reserve the parts from stock, and block trip assignment for any vehicle that is overdue on a safety-critical item.

  • Profit and loss for every trip

    Freight revenue, diesel, tolls, driver payout, tyre and maintenance accrual post against the trip. A lane's real margin is visible without waiting for a month-end spreadsheet.

  • Driver scoring normalised per 100 km

    Harsh braking, overspeeding, cornering and idling are scored against distance rather than per trip, so a long-haul driver and a city driver are compared on the same basis.

  • Trip documents captured at the roadside

    e-Way bills, lorry receipts, weighbridge slips and proof of delivery are captured on the driver app, tied to the trip, and available to billing the moment the vehicle finishes unloading.

  • Geofences with dwell and detention rules

    Plant, customer and yard boundaries raise entry, exit and dwell events. Detention hours are computed from those events and carried straight into the customer invoice line.

  • Workshop job cards, parts and warranty

    Job cards record labour hours, parts issued from stock and warranty claim status, so a repeat failure on the same assembly is visible across the fleet rather than one vehicle at a time.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Do we have to change our GPS hardware?

No. The gateway parses the common Teltonika, Concox and Ruptela protocol families and accepts a generic JSON feed for anything else, so existing devices keep reporting. Fuel sensor quality is the one place where hardware genuinely limits what the software can tell you.

How does it handle attached market vehicles?

As first-class fleet members with a hire rate instead of a depreciation schedule. Trip costing uses the attached rate, the maintenance and fuel modules stay switched off for them, and settlement to the vehicle owner is generated from completed trips.

Can drivers use it on low-end phones without data?

The driver app targets Android 8 and above, works offline for document capture and trip events, and syncs when a signal returns. Anything that depends on live position obviously needs connectivity; everything the driver has to record does not.
