Customer platform
Many sellers, one checkout
and a ledger that balances
Seller onboarding, catalogue governance, split settlement and dispute handling for operators who take a commission rather than own the stock. The money model is the product: every order splits into seller payable, commission, tax and shipping recovery at capture, not at month end.

Overview
Multi-seller commerce with a commission ledger that balances to the paisa.
Marketplace Solution is built around the settlement ledger. When a buyer pays, the platform writes a double-entry set of postings that splits the captured amount into seller payable, platform commission, collected tax, shipping recovery and any promotion the operator funded. Payouts then draw from that ledger on a schedule, net of returns and penalties, and each seller sees the same statement your finance team sees. Operators who bolt commissions onto a webstore discover this problem in month three; here it is the foundation.
The other half of the product is seller lifecycle: registration with document capture and bank verification, catalogue moderation queues with reasons, performance scoring on dispatch and cancellation rates, and a graduated penalty ladder ending in delisting. A marketplace is the wrong shape if you own the inventory. In that case you have a webstore with a supplier list, and the commission ledger, the payout cycle and the dispute desk are pure overhead.

Capabilities
What it does
Seller onboarding with verification
Registration captures incorporation documents, tax identifiers and bank details, runs penny-drop verification, and holds the account limited until a reviewer clears every required document.
Commission plans
Rates set by category, seller tier, order value band or campaign, with effective-from dates so a change never rewrites history. Overlapping plans resolve by explicit priority.
Split settlement at capture
Each captured payment posts seller payable, commission, tax and shipping recovery as separate ledger entries. Payout runs draw on cleared balances and produce a per-seller statement.
Catalogue moderation queues
New and edited listings route to reviewers by category with side-by-side diffs, reason-coded rejections and an auto-approve path for sellers above a quality threshold you set.
Order splitting across sellers
A basket touching four sellers becomes four fulfilment orders with independent dispatch clocks and tracking, while the buyer keeps one order number and one returns entry point.
Dispute and claim desk
Buyer claims open with evidence upload, freeze the disputed amount in the ledger, and move through seller response, operator decision and reversal against a published response window.
Seller scorecards
Dispatch adherence, cancellation, return and claim rates roll into a tier driving search placement, commission band and payout frequency. Sellers see the numbers and the workings.
Buyer wallet and credits
Refunds, goodwill credits and cancelled-order balances hold in a wallet with expiry rules, and every movement carries an originating order reference so a balance can be explained.

FAQ
Questions we get asked
- Do you hold buyer money, and what does that mean for us?
The platform never holds funds itself. It instructs a payment provider that supports split payouts, such as Razorpay Route or Stripe Connect, and mirrors every instruction in its own ledger so you can prove what was owed and what was paid. Regulatory responsibility for holding funds stays with the provider and with you.
- Can we run a hybrid model where we sell alongside third-party sellers?
Yes. Your own entity is modelled as a seller with a zero commission plan, which keeps the ledger consistent and makes it possible to compare your fulfilment performance against third-party sellers on identical measures.
- What stops a seller listing prohibited or duplicate items?
Category-level required attributes, a duplicate detector on title, brand and identifier, keyword and image screening rules you configure, and a moderation queue for anything that trips them. Repeat offences drive the seller tier down automatically.
